Pahang skipper Razman Roslan told his teammates not to rest on their laurels in the Malaysia Cup quarter-final second leg on Saturday.
Having won 4-1 in Kuantan, Pahang are favourites but the match could be LionsXII’s last in the Malaysian league and Razman believes that will provide the Singaporeans a boost.
“We shouldn’t have conceded in Kuantan. Now, they have an away goal and that is dangerous,” he said.
“Playing possibly their last M-League match is a good motivator. We have to be very careful and cancel their away goal advantage as early as possible.
“We lost on our last visit there but we have beaten them there before. We need to bring our A game again.”
Pahang defeated LionsXII 2-1 in Singapore in last year’s Malaysia Cup group stage but suffered a 4-2 defeat on their last travel to the Republic in August.
