Pahang produced a magnificent second half to defeat Selangor 3-1 at the Shah Alam Stadium.
Pahang trailed Selangor 1-0 at break despite having more chances to break the resilient home side.
Matias Conti had Pahang fans cheering thinking he had scored but his powerful shot hit the side netting instead in the 3rd minute.
Selangor went ahead just two minutes later after Robert Cornwaithe rose above the Pahang defence to head Andik Vermansyah’s freekick.
Pahang had chances to equalise through Dickson Nwakaeme and R. Gopinathan but Hamsani twarted attempts.
Pahang had a change of luck when the game resumed as Selangor were left wondering what hit them.
Zesh Rehman’s long shot levelled terms five minutes into the half to initiate a comeback.
Matias Conti was left to apply the finishing touches after Dickson Nwakaeme outmuscled Cornwaithe just outside the penalty box in the 58th minute.
Hafiz Kamal lobbed over Hamsani to put the match beyond doubt in the 67th minute.
