Pahang coach Zainal Abidin Hassan is turning to the fans to take them through the Malaysia Cup quarterfinals.
Having played to a 1-1 draw in the first leg at the Darul Makmur Stadium last week, the Elephants need to win or secure a draw greater than 1-1 at the Shah Alam Stadium on Saturday.
Police’s decision to move the match to Shah Alam from the Paroi Stadium could see more Pahang fans turning up, especially those living in Klang Valley.
“For me, the fans have always been important. Even more on away matches. I hope they turn up in numbers. They are crucial in our Malaysia Cup quest,” said Zainal.
“We played to a satisfactory level in the first leg and I am looking for another good showing, only this time with better finishing.
“I have several players back for the match so it gives better options. But Matias Conti is still suspended,” he added.
Among those expected to return to the starting line-up are Shahrizan Salleh, Hafiz Kamal and goalkeeper Khairul Azhan Khalid.
