Pahang stayed at the top of the Super League after a 2-0 win over Armed Forces at the Darul Makmur Stadium.
The Elephants are still two points ahead of defending champions Johor Darul Takzim, who defeated bottom placed Sime Darby 4-0.
Pahang were ahead 2-0 at halftime but it could have been more had Matias Conti connected with two crosses into the box.
Dickson Nwakaeme made no mistakes, however, finishing R. Gopinathan’s short pass in the 14th minute.
Nwakaeme set-up Conti twice, in the 12th and 18 minute, but the Argentinean could not finish.
Nwakaeme made no mistakes in the 34th minute as he headed home Gopinanthan’s freekick.
Gopinathan was at the end of chances early in the second half but the first went wide in the 48th minute and the second was saved by Hafizuddin in the 52nd minute.
It was turning out to be a disappointing night for Conti after he missed another header in the 55th minute.
