Defender Matthew Davies hopes Pahang will keep their momentum going with another win against Police in Kuantan.
After defeating the Cops 5-3 in Shah Alam on Saturday, a second win would put Pahang in the front seat for the Super League title race.
“We definitely have an opportunity to win the league… even more after taking valuable points of a team very close to us,” he said.
“Our next two games are also against teams close to us. Maximum points will really set things going.”
Pahang lead the Super League standings with 23 points followed by Johor Darul Takzim (JDT) on 21 points. Police, Selangor, Perak and Felda United have 18 points each.
Pahang entertain JDT in Kuantan on Saturday.
Davies, who joined the East Coast giants in the April transfer window, hopes to continue impressing head coach Zainal Abidin Hassan and retain his starting place.
“I’m in good company here. The likes of Damien Stewart and Razman Roslan have so much experience. It is easy playing next to them in defence. I keep learning new things everyday.”
