Defending champions Pahang are through to the last eight with one match to spare after a 3-0 win against Police at the Darul Makmur Stadium.
Pahang are top of Group D with nine points, followed by PKNS on eight. Police and Penang have five points each.
The Elephants put their recent troubles aside to come out strongly in the first half, putting two behind Police.
It was a quiet opening 20 minutes for both keepers with Damion Stewart’s 18 minute header sailing above being the only attempt.
Dickson Nwakaeme, who had strike partner Matias Conti back again, opened scoring after putting the ball above the custodian in the 27th minute. Two minutes later, Conti scored to double the lead.
Pahang were not really tested for most parts of the game, with Khairul Azhan Khalid only called into action for the first time in the 55th minute.
Nwakaeme almost made it three in the 69th minute but his left foot strike struck the post instead. Three minutes later, Azamuddin Akil gave the visitors problems down the flank but found no teammates to greet his cross.
Conti marked his return with another goal in the 81st minute to put Pahang three up.
