Pahang fight back for win

The Elephants were two goals down but three goals in the second half ensured a 4-2 win over Sime Darby at the Selayang Stadium last night.

Pahang need to step up the ante after going into the break trailing 2-1 at the Selayang Stadium.

The Elephants were trailing by two goals after just 15 minutes but Damion Stewart revived Pahang’s chances.

Sime Darby, who sit at the bottom of the Super League standings with out a win, went ahead with goals by Marko Perovic.

Centerback Stewart rose to head Hafiz Kamal’s header just after the half hour mark.

Matias Conti, who has bagged many important goals this season, drew Pahang level in the 58th minute and later doubled his personal tally in the 68th minute.

Dickson Nwakaeme, who set up Conti’s second goal, turned provider again and setting up Fauzi Roslan to seal the tie in the 75th minute.

Pahang are still two points clear at the top of the Super League with six matches remaining.
