Pahang will emphasise on finishing after not being able to convert chances in the 1-1 draw with Selangor at the Darul Makmur Stadium on Saturday.
The Elephants, who produced an improved display from the 2-0 loss to JDT in the opening fixture, had a fair share of chances to take all three points but could not find a way past Norzalan Razali more than once.
Coach Zainal Abidin feels more works needs to be put in up front.
“We have been working on finishing over the past two weeks but looks like we need to put in more in this department,” said Zainal.
“Overall our game was good but some areas still need some tweaks before our trip to Kuching next week.”
Pahang meet Sarawak at the State Stadium on February 21.
In Kuantan, Matias Conti gave the hosts a 1-0 lead two minutes to the hour mark. Selangor’s Andik Vermansyah equalised six minutes later after dribbling his way into the penalty box.
Hafiz Kamal saw a couple of freekicks saved by Norazlan while Dickson Nwakaeme, Zesh Rehman, Damion Stewart and R. Gopinanthan could not convert their chances.
